THE ASK
A large scale e-commerce site had crashed during the last four holiday seasons due to significant architecture issues that could not support high traffic. In February 2019, the client engaged Ace3 to take over the development and support of its Oracle Commerce platform.
The client’s ask included UI Refresh, Load Testing, Performance Tuning, and Infrastructure Upgrades.
THE OUTCOME
For the first time in five years, holiday traffic did not crash the site!
The site remained available, operational, and responsive throughout the holiday sales season.
WHAT WE DID
SEPTEMBER 2019
The site failed at 3,500 users during load tests. We discovered that the bottleneck was infrastructure configurations.
NOVEMBER 2019
Ace3 overloaded Brand X’s site on 16 different occasions, each time resolving performance issues until the primary challenge remaining was the hosting network.
Ace3 increased site capacity to 15x more users.
